Why does Solange care what the hood says? Is it because her Brother and Law J is from the hood? Cause she damn sure isn't. If your father can afford to quit his job and 100% dedicate himself to turning his oldest child and her friends into Destiny Child and Beyonce then im about 1000% sure you live no where near the hood.
To me that just takes away from the song, your whole song is about how you don't care what anybody in the industry thinks about you however your family is who it is because the industry.
